VISAS

Brazilians who wish to obtain a visa in other countries should attend the consulate or embassy of the country of destination. United States, Japan, China, India, among others, are some of the nations that require documentation in Brazilian passport, as well as most of the countries of Oceania, Africa and Eastern Europe. Nations of Western Europe and Latin America do not request visas for Brazilian tourists, due to a reciprocal agreement with Brazil.

BOARDING DOCUMENTS

To ensure the comfort of your trip, remember to organize the necessary documentation prior to boarding. Documents should be in good condition and in the case of international trip, certified copies are not accepted, only the original and incorrupt document.

NATIONAL FLIGHTS

Please have one of the following documents:

Identity cards issued by the judicial or legislative power in the federal or state level are accepted, as well as identity cards issued by the ministry or agency under the Presidency of the Republic, including the Ministry of Defense and the Air Force Command, the Navy and Army. For domestic flights, all these documents are accepted regardless of their validity and can be presented in their original form or certified copy.

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

To embark on some international flights, you must have a passport. But if the destination country is a member of Mercosur or have travel agreement with Brazil (Argentina , Paraguay, Uruguay , Chile , Venezuela and Bolivia) , the following documents may also be used:

VACCINES

The internationally valid document as yellow fever vaccination voucher (CIVP) can be acquired in public and private vaccination centers, as well as ANVISA, at airports.

CUSTOMS

All travelers entering our going out of Brazil, with in-kind resources, in national or foreign currency, with an amount exceeding R$ 10,000.00 is required to fill the Declaration of Electronic Currency Carry (e- DPV) . On your return to Brazil, you can bring goods without the payment of taxes, provided they are included in the concept of luggage, not be presumed import for commercial or industrial purposes and while respecting the total amount limit and quantitative limit. The overall value limit corresponds to:

  1. a) US$ 500.00 or the equivalent in another currency, when the traveler enters the country by air or sea
  2. b) US$ 300.00 or the equivalent in another currency, when the traveler enters the country by land, river or lake.

DUTY FREE SHOP

The traveler can purchase with tax exemption in duty free shops at ports and airports, after landing in Brazil and prior to their presentation to customs supervision goods to the total value of US$ 500.00. This amount is not debited from the luggage-free quota to which the traveler is entitled.

ANIMALS TRANSPORT

There are international rules for the transport of live animals to ensure their well being. And each country has its own regulations for this type of transport. Therefore, it is necessary to get all the data on the required documents by the Consulate of the country of destination and the airline company, before considering taking the animal to your next trip.

The animals must be transported in fiber containers large enough for them to make the 360 degrees of movement inside. There should be water and food compartment and the floor should be lined with materials that absorb the waste. It’s permited only one animal (dog or cat) per box, two if they are puppies up to 45 days of life.

All animals will be transported in the aircraft hold, whose temperature is 22°C. Although this is the main rule, some airline companies may allow the animal to travel with the passenger or in the cockpit (inside the shipping box). It depends on the airline company policy.

Each country has specific legislation establishing the necessary documentation for the transport of animals. It must be presented to the carrier during check in. In Brazil, according to Decree Nº. 24,548 of 3/07/34, it is mandatory that the passenger present, at the time of shipment, the following documentation:
